We created Audi’s first online purchasing and tracking system in the USA and Canada, offering customers a seamless way to buy and track their vehicle to the dealership in real time for a premium experience from purchase to pickup.

Ongoing research and testing throughout the project helped us better understand our users, empathize with their needs, and design a solution tailored to them. We identified two primary user types:
🚗 The Convenience Seeker
This user values ease and simplicity in their purchasing process, seeking a quick and hassle-free experience.
🛠️ The Independent Buyer
This user prefers control and flexibility, wanting to navigate the purchase and delivery process on their own terms without relying on external assistance.
These insights guided our design decisions, ensuring a user-centered approach at every step.

With the initial user flows built, we began creating lo-fidelity wireframes. This initial phase of exploration lasted a few months as we iterated on feedback, which lead to a solid design that made sense, and the team approved.

Using a freshly built Figma component library (which I helped bring to life), we were able to design an application process that prioritized speed, usability, and a premium Audi feeling.
Motion was also explored and designed for, however to meet deadlines we agreed it would be implemented at a later time.
One of the biggest challenges during this time was having to make adjustments because of recent law changes, but we handled the changes thoughtfully and efficiently.

The Audi Purchase Tracker keeps customers informed with real-time updates from deposit to delivery.
We aimed for an experience with:
✅ Clear progress: Every step is mapped out for transparency.
✅ Seamless actions: Choose payments and explore financing within the tracker.
✅ Premium feeling: Designed for clarity, ease, and excitement.
Everything users need for a transparent, stress-free tracking experience.

New regulations like the Federal EV Tax Credit in Canada and shifting state-by-state dealer compliance laws in the US meant we had to squeeze in some last minute adjustments to the experience, like fitting in new legal copy or entirely new sections.
Working closely with developers and quality assurance, we adapted fast to maintain a smooth, uncluttered, and exciting experience for Audi buyers across mobile, tablet, and desktop breakpoints.
